BRIEF DESCRIPTION & SALIENT FEATURES OF SONA EXTRA HEAVY DUTY LATHE MACHINE .
1. Induction Hardened Bed ways.
2. Design of the Bed is extremely heavy & rigid. Bed is robust & sturdy in construction for more strength & accurate workmanship & to avoid vibration.
3. Legs are extremely heavy & robust. Specially we have given extra metal in Legs & made necessary changes in foundry patterns to with stand Heavy Load.
4. Main Spindle is Induction Hardened & Double Grind Finished on the bearing size.Degree of the Spindle is grind finished. Main Spindle is very rigid & accurate & made out of alloy steel.
5. Spindle Wall Thickness will be around 20 mm(for extra strength & rigidity)
6. Main Spindle is mounted on 2 Precision Taper Roller Bearings, for precision machining, accuracy & workmanship, & to withstand heavy load.
7. Triple Bearings System in Head-stock for better finishing & to avoid Vibration.
8. High Quality M S Steel Helical Gears are fitted. Double knobs will be given in Main Helical gear. High quality Tumbler Gears are fitted & made out of steel material.
9. Change Gears & Tumbler Gears are made of 32 mm THICKNESS.
10. Turcite B Coating will be fixed on carriage slide ways for smooth travel & Long Life of Bed ways.
11. Tailstock Spindle is Hardened having Internal & External Degree Grinding done. Extra Heavy duty tailstock Spindle 3 Dia. Is fitted to give efficient support to the job.
12. 2 nos. bearings will be given in Tailstock Screw Rod for easy travel.
13. Tailstock Moving Arrangement will be given for Easy Movement of Heavy Tailstock. It will be extremely useful for Operator.
14. Hand Scrapping is done on Headstock, Saddle, Surface, Compound Set, Tool post, Tailstock etc for proper & rigid seating of Component which avoids vibration.
15. All Screw nuts are made out of Gun Metal for minimum Wear & Tear.
16. Cross-slide Screw Rod is 28 mm thick with long heavier type Gun Metal Nut. Provision for 2 bearings is there in Screw Rod for easy & smooth travel.
17. Lead Screw is 2 Dia x 2 TPI. Provision for bearings & check nuts will be given to avoid play in lead screw.
18. Tool Post is 7 Heavier type.
19. Panja is Specially Designed heavier type.
20. Counter Shaft is also heavy with 6207 Bearings either SKF, NTN OR NSK JAPAN, OR GERMAN MAKE.
21. Lead Screw supports are given in our SONA Lathes.
22. Tailstock Moving Arrangement is given for Easy movement of Tailstock.
23. ALL MAJOR PARTS LIKE HEAD-STOCK, SADDLE, SURFACE, COMPOUND SETS, TOOL-POST, TAILSTOCK, HELICAL GEARS, PULLEY SETS, ETC ARE EXTREMELY HEAVY & RIGID FOR BETTER PERFORMANCE OF THE LATHE MACHINE.
